What is the Call for Makers?
The Call for Makers is the opportunity to present your innovations at Maker Faire Rome 2022.
If your proposal is selected by our curators, we will offer you a free exhibition space and you can present your project to the public, exchange commercial or in-depth information and interact with visitors.
The goal of the "Call for Makers 2022" is to promote innovation, through the dissemination of digital culture and the development of individual and collective entrepreneurship, rewarding the projects deemed most deserving.
The digital part will be dedicated to conferences, workshop talks and training and information events that will take place on dates other than those of the event in attendance.
Participation in the "Call for Makers 2022" is free and allowed to Italian or foreign subjects, whether they are natural or legal persons, who intend to present their project and participate according to the methods chosen from those listed below:
exhibit a project: a space will be provided free of charge to allow visitors and onlookers to enjoy the exhibits;
carry out interventions (presentations to the public): a physical and / or virtual space will be provided free of charge where presentations can be made on topics related to the themes proposed by the Event, tell their experience and carry out demonstrations of practical activities (workshops).
In consideration of the fact that Maker Faire Rome is preceded and followed by a series of events and initiatives that do not end in the three days of the Exhibition, the detailed programming of these activities could take place digitally on dates other than those scheduled for the exhibition event.
perform in public (performance): a physical and / or virtual space or a physical and / or virtual stage will be provided free of charge to be able to perform in one's own creative, technological, robotic, musical performance.
The performances can also take place in the form of webinars, in order to facilitate the use and dissemination among the public even remotely.

Electronics: from microcontrollers to retrocomputing, from sensors to the Internet of Things, from circuit bending to hacking, from machine learning to open hardware.
Food and agriculture: innovation in nutrition (food, machines, robotics, methods of preparation and conservation) and in agriculture (agro-tech, rural innovation, automation, monitoring).
Robotics and intelligent machines: from robots on wheels to animatrons, from humanoids to Goldberg's machines, from artificial intelligence to industrial automation.
