RoboSoft 2022 aims at presenting and discussing the progresses of soft robotics: new science, new technologies and new opportunities for applications of soft robots, with a specific emphasis for environmental safeguard and the improvement of the quality of life. Understanding, monitoring, restoring, and preserving natural ecosystems are crucial elements required for implementing effective strategies to manage natural resources, control emissions, and safeguard the biodiversity of species. This quest to understand and manage the natural world provides a scientific and technological challenge for robotics: the design and development of “green” soft robots to safeguard the Earth and improve the quality of life.
