The RoboCup Federation is the organization that brings together scientists from all over the world recognized in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. It is this committee that coordinates the RoboCup community and organizes the event every year with the host city.
Proposed in 1996 by Hiroaki Kitano to stimulate research, RoboCup was born with the crazy and very complex challenge that at the 2050 World Cup, robots could have played on the pitch with humans.
The robotics competition took place in 2016 in Germany, in 2017 in Japan, in 2018 in Montreal and in 2019 in Sydney, in 2020 in France, 2022 will be held in Thailand.
For its 24th edition, the «RoboCup» robotics and artificial intelligence competition takes place in France at the Bordeaux Exhibition Center (Parc des Expositions de Bordeaux).
