Basic surgical robotics course 2022

The 4-day comprehensive basic robotic training course uses a blended training experience that will focus on:

• Definition of the components, features, configuration requirements and troubleshooting measures of the robotic surgical platform.
• Develop the psychomotor skills necessary to safely operate robotic surgical platforms.
• Demonstrate how robotic surgical platforms are integrated into the operating room environment and how the platforms can best be used in clinical practice.
• Development of clinical efficiency through comprehensive team training.

During this program, your experience will include; discussions on robotic surgical technology, human factors associated with robotic surgery, surgical skills assessment tools for robotics, robotic surgical platform training, hands-on simulation, wet and dry lab experiences, and developing the skills needed to safely use the Intuitive Surgical daVinci Robot.

The course also includes; development of efficiency within the healthcare team, in-depth assessment of your robotic skills during the course, access to robotic surgery resources to help you in your practice, a full follow-up assessment after the course to ensure you get the most out of the your training. This training is available to surgeons, fellows, and residents interested in safely transferring learning into practice and developing proficiency in robotic surgery skills.

Course experience:
In order to maximize the experience for the course participant, the course agenda is individualized for each participant; consequently, the agenda will be different for each course participant. All course participants will receive the same experience and level of education and must successfully complete each element of the course to receive full credit for the course.
